This devilish angel encourages a red-headed lady to pour herself a glass of Mantalo-Raissac, a liqueur from the Distillerie de la Montagne Noire or Black Mountain (a mountain range in central southern France in the Haut-Languedoc/ Tarn region). Founded in the first half of the 19th century by Hector Jam, the distillery began making and selling liqueur in 1854. As of 1881, under Francois Raissac's direction, the alcohols became prize-winners at numerous fairs and expos. And later after being passed down to Raissac's sons, became well known for it's minty liqueurs: Mantalo and Peppermint Raissac.
