Club 82 was an underground gay club tucked away discreetly in the East Village from the late 1950's to late 70's. Was a venue made famous by the likes of David Bowie, Lou Reed, Harvey Fierstein, Blondie and the New York Dolls. It was also the meeting place of Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, who went on to collaborate on many NYC theater projects.
