c.1923 Lovely original vintage lithographic musical theatre poster for "Stamboul" (Istanbul), a lyrical drama based on the 1900 novel "L'Homme Qui Assassina /The Man Who Killed" by Claude Farrere (Frederic-Charles Bargone; 1876-1957), with poems and music by composer Edouard Tremisot (1874-1952). The play was adapted by Pierre Frondaie (Albert Rene Fraudet; 1884-1948). Great view of Istanbul’s Blue Mosque in the distance. NOTE: Overall very good condition with minor soft folds in paper that would ease out nicely with linenbacking.
