1980s Anti-apartheid poster published by the Guardian Newsweekly of NYC. Poster with a poem by James Matthews, a black South African poet who was arrested after the Soweto uprising in 1976 and held without trial for 4 months. The drawing was taken from a linoleum print called "Sad People" by John Muafangejo, a black Namibian who lived and worked in his homeland.
