c.1982 poster for a New York City film festival from the Collective for Living Cinema "an outpost of avant-garde cinema located on White Street in Lower Manhattan" founded in 1973 by a collective of students. According Annette Michelson, the Collective emerged in the 1980s as the "liveliest" New York film venue of its time. (Wikipedia) The poster advertises screenings of Trial (1955), Broken Arrow (1950), the 1952 American political drama "My Son John," and Emile de Antonio's 1963 McCarthy era documentary "Point of Order".
